Designing Your Life in the Year of the Horse (Day 0)
Designing Your Life Starts in Motion
It’s 7pm on a Monday.
I’m still glued to my screen, not knowing what to write.
Messy desk...
Messy brain...
Too many tabs open.
Outside, Chinatown is celebrating the Year of the Horse.
Drums... Red lanterns... Voices... Movement...
The rhythm is loud enough to reach my chest.
And something in me moves with it.
Not clarity... Not a decision....
Just a feeling like I want to do something.
But what?
That’s when it hit me.
Instead of asking what I’m supposed to become… what if I start Designing Your Life the way I design products?
Because when I design products, I don’t panic over identity.
I define problems...
I test assumptions.I prototype...
I pivot...
But with my own life?
I spiral...
Maybe the product isn’t me. Maybe it’s not even the ideas... and trust me, there are too many.
Maybe the product is the system that decides what gets built.
Designing Your Life Is a Living Prototype
Designing My Life doesn’t mean I have the answers.
It means I’m willing to treat this phase like a prototype.
Maybe that’s the lesson of the horse year... motion before perfection.
This series isn’t a masterplan...
It’s an experiment.
We might pivot.
We probably will...
Tomorrow, I’ll ask a sharper question:
If your life was a product —what problem is it trying to solve?
Right now, all I know is this:
Something in me wants to move.
I just need to design the direction.
I’ll be around.
